Event information

Firms can now register with Companies House as authorised corporate service providers (ACSPs).

The webinar explains the latest requirements, the risks of providing these services and how they impact your firm and clients.

ICAEW’s anti-money laundering supervisory team and Companies House will present:

  • a general overview of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act,
  • guidance on ACSP registrations; and
  • guidance on the identity and verification checks required for directors and people of significant control.

There will be time for a live Q&A.

About the speakers

Mark Buckley, Senior Implementation Lead, Companies House

Mark has worked for Companies House for over 20 years and has held senior roles within Policy, Operations and within the Enforcement and Intelligence teams. I have worked extensively with Enforcement and Intelligence partners throughout the UK. I am currently the Senior Implementation Lead responsible for developing the Authorised Corporate Service Provider registration and maintenance service under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill.

Michelle Giddings, Head of AML and Operations, ICAEW

Michelle Giddings is ICAEW’s Head of AML with operational responsibility for the AML supervision of ICAEW’s 11,000 AML-supervised firms. She is co-Chair of the Accountancy AML Supervisors Group and was Chair of the AML Supervisors’ Forum in 2021. Michelle qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005, completing her training contract at a Big Four firm and working within audit for Professional Services firms. In 2009, Michelle joined ICAEW’s Quality Assurance Department as a Senior Manager, leading monitoring reviews to larger, higher-risk firms and managing a team of reviewers conducting monitoring reviews across the country.

Sandy Price, AML Manager, ICAEW

Sandy trained with Ernst & Young and qualified as a chartered accountant. She’s held operational roles in industry, including at the BBC, and spent time as a sole practitioner, gaining insight into the challenges faced by smaller firms. After 14 years as a QAD reviewer, she now works in ICAEW’s AML supervisory team, focusing on both compliance monitoring and supporting member firms with guidance.
