About the speakers

Emma Spencer, Senior Manager, KPMG Emma is a senior manager in the Accounting and Reporting team of KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP), providing technical accounting advice to KPMG audit teams. She is a team leader of the UK DPP’s audit reporting topic team, as well as a member of the business combination and employee benefit topic teams. She has experience of both advising on technical accounting matters and providing related training. She is member of the ICAEW and has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Nottingham.

Alex Hall, Senior Manager, PwC Alex is a senior manager in PwC’s Corporate Reporting Services department. He specialises in providing technical accounting advice to audit teams with a focus on financial instruments, as well as the corporate treasury and energy, utilities and resources sectors. Alex is also involved in delivering IFRS and UK GAAP training to PwC’s audit practice and clients.
