Event information

This webinar will take a closer look at the government’s ambitions to build 300,000 new homes per year. Discussions will centre around the likelihood that this target will be met and discover solutions that could close the void between aspiration and reality.

Joining Ros Rowe, subject matter expert for ICAEW are Chris Buckle, Director at Savills and Harry Yates. Our speakers will share their insights on:

  • The current housing market: size of the new build sector, who the key players are, and the role of unitary authorities.
  • Factors which may limit the number of new homes built: the cost of finance, lack of financial resources, supply of land, impact of planning, and realising value.
  • Potential solutions: including new market entrants and tax incentives
  • How AI could be used: the potential impacts on the future of house building.
  • Key learnings: what house building can take away from leaner, more efficient industries.

Key benefits

  • Learn more about potential solutions to the house building question.
  • Gain insights on how technology and AI can impact the sector.
  • Earn valuable CPD from your desktop.
