This webinar on IFRS 17 is aimed at helping users of financial statements understand the results reported under IFRS 17, including both the numbers and disclosures.
It will be particularly beneficial for analysts, investors, and other users of the accounts.

We focus on life insurers for this session, although some of the principles will be relevant for general insurance too.

About the speakers

Anthony Coughlan, Partner, PwC Anthony is a Partner and senior actuary in PwC’s insurance practice, with over 25 years’ experience across the European insurance industry. Throughout his career, he has specialised in financial, solvency, and performance reporting for insurers, working from both an audit and advisory perspective.

Steve Cooper, Footnotes Analyst Steve completed a 10-year term as a board member of the IASB in 2017. Prior to that he was a Managing Director in the equities division of UBS. Steve’s earlier career includes auditing and corporate finance. He qualified as an accountant in 1983. Steve is now an independent analyst, writes The Footnotes Analyst blog, and provides consulting and education services for investors. He is also a member of the ICAEW financial reporting committee.|
