About the speakers

Ben Ducker, Principal Consultant, Modelling Expert Ltd Ben is a chartered accountant, a member of the ICAEW Excel Community Advisory Group, and a former Director at a top 7 UK accountancy firm. He has over 18 years' experience in Financial Modelling, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Corporate Finance and currently provides a wide range of freelance financial modelling consultancy services to UK based SME’s and their advisors.

Joel Steendam, Head of Product Solutions, PerfectXL Joel has been an avid Excel user for several years now serving clients from across the financial industry. With a special focus on risk averse modelling, Joel is an advocate for best practices and policies that help users build models that last. He sits on the board of advisors for ICAEW’s Excel community and brings a unique perspective as head of Product Solutions at PerfectXL, a company dedicated to mitigating the Risks associated with Excel use.

ICAEW's revised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations bring in new CPD requirements. This includes a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement.
