Event information

With the fast pace of development in AI, where new models with enhanced capabilities are launched at ever shorter intervals, one question remains: how to manage the risks relating to AI adoption, in particular the potential for AI to disrupt social trust and damage the foundational structures of societies.

William Gee, Vice Chair of ICAEW Tech Faculty Board, will explore the issue of ethics in the context of AI and emerging technologies. This session will review the achievements of AI developments to date, discuss the definition and meaning of AI Ethics, and study some examples of ethical intervention in the design and development of AI applications.

What you will learn:

• The meaning of ethics in the context of AI and technological adoption

• The data challenge in safeguarding conformance to ethical requirements

• The complexity of ethical design in AI-enabled solutions

• The impact of AI on professional ethics
