Event information

This is ICAEW’s Restructuring & Insolvency Community’s first in-person event in Belfast and will provide valuable CPD as well as a chance to meet ICAEW’s insolvency monitoring team and to network with other attendees.

This half-day event will include:

  • An introduction to ICAEW;
  • ICAEW’s annual compliance review requirement and what you need to do;
  • Common visit findings and outcomes;
  • A presentation from the Northern Ireland Insolvency Service;
  • A summary of recent regulatory changes;
  • A legal update.

Registration and refreshments will be served from 09:00, with presentations starting at 09.30 and finishing at 12.30. The programme is currently being finalised and will be sent closer to the time.

About the speakers

Victoria Alexandrou, Insolvency Manager, ICAEW
Victoria has over 20 years’ insolvency experience. She has worked in firms ranging from a sole practitioner to one of the Big 4.
Victoria completed the JIEB in 2011. She joined ICAEW’s QAD department in 2016 and has recently been promoted to insolvency manager. Outside of work, Victoria spends much of the summer months attending various motoring events around the country.

Allison Broad, Head of Insolvency Monitoring, ICAEW
Allison Broad is ICAEW’s Head of Insolvency Monitoring and is responsible for QAD’s insolvency monitoring team. She is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and regularly speaks about insolvency-related matters.

Katie Dixon, Reviewer, ICAEW
Katie is an ICAEW licenced insolvency practitioner and a certified probate practitioner. She started her career in insolvency at 16 after finishing her GCSEs. She qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2017 at which stage he obtained her insolvency licence. She left insolvency practice in 2021 to join ICAEW as a QAD reviewer. As part of her role, she carries out Insolvency, Probate, DPB and Practice Assurance reviews.

CPD hours

ICAEW's revised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations bring in new CPD requirements. This includes a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement. Attending this webinar could contribute up to 3 hours of verifiable CPD, providing you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.

A copy of the webinar booking confirmation email is accepted as evidence of verifiable CPD. You will need to save the email as a JPEG or PDF before uploading it to your record. Click here to use ICAEW’s self-assessment tool to help you work out how much CPD you will need to fulfil each year.
