This engaging webinar aims to inspire, educate and empower women about careers in technology, addressing the challenges they may face, and sharing personal stories from successful women in the tech industry. They will address common biases and stereotypes women encounter in the industry and discuss strategies to overcome feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy.

About the speakers

Bunmi Durowoju
Bunmi Durowoju is an award-winning former Microsoft Senior Business Development Manager, where she led strategic partnerships across global markets in AI, emerging technologies, and intelligent cloud solutions. During her time at Microsoft, she worked across verticals including AgriTech, Automotive, Green Energy, and SpaceTech - helping commercial organisations adopt cloud, IoT, and AI innovations. She also played a key role in the Microsoft Airband Initiative, delivering affordable access and connectivity solutions across EMEA. Today, Bunmi channels her experience into ventures that combine commercial growth with ethical tech and inclusive innovation. She is an active voice in driving equity across technology, sport, and leadership, and is known for shaping spaces where belonging can thrive.

Karen Ko, Managing Director, Protiviti HK Business & Technology Consulting Leader; APAC Financial Services Transformation Lead
Karen brings in 20 years of professional experience in New York, London and APAC leading multi-country, complex transformation projects for financial services clients. Her role focuses on partnering strategically with clients to innovate their business models and operations through implementing new processes, integrating core ERP systems, AI, automation and data. She was previously a Partner with IBM Consulting leading Business Transformation and prior to that, a Partner with EY, where she headed the Strategy & Operations Advisory Practice.

Monica Odysseos, Head of AI and Data Lab, Grant Thornton
Monica leads the AI and Data Lab at Grant Thornton Cyprus, where she helps organisations make sense of artificial intelligence and data in a way that is practical, ethical and accessible. With a background in software development and then becoming a chartered accountant, she combines technical insight with business and strategic thinking to deliver solutions across various sectors. Beyond the tech, Monica believes the strengths many women bring to the table, like empathy, active listening, collaboration and emotional intelligence, are not just “soft skills” but powerful tools for leadership, innovation and building teams that work.

Sharon Prior, Founder, Transformation Leader, Board Advisor
Sharon is an award-winning technology leader and board advisor with over 25 years of experience driving digital transformation across global enterprises. Known for her calm authority, strategic insight, and values-led leadership, Sharon partners with organisations to unlock performance, embed cultural change, and build the systems and teams that deliver lasting impact. Her career spans senior roles in sectors including pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, transport, and aviation, most recently as CIO at Heathrow Airport, where she led enterprise-wide digital programmes, introduced cyber assurance frameworks, and redesigned the IT operating model to align with business strategy and customer experience goals.

Facilitator: Jenny Blewett, Head of Finance, Costello Medical 
Jenny holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Exeter and began her career in Audit and Assurance with a Top 4 UK accounting firm, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (ACA). She has extensive experience in the technology sector and the NHS, where she served as the Financial Controller of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Having developed a keen interest in the application of technology to Finance, she progressed to lead finance systems and improvement. She was a member of the National NHS Finance Innovation Board having been peer reviewed and published for automating complex reconciliations and reporting. Jenny's diverse background across practice, commercial, public, and charity sectors provides her with a unique perspective. Currently, as the Head of Finance at Costello Medical and a member of the ICAEW Technology Faculty Board, Jenny focuses on leveraging technology to streamline processes (removing weeks out of month end timetables) and enhance effective data-driven decision-making.
