Event information

Be part of a practical workshop, in partnership with Forvis Mazars, designed specifically for those approaching retirement or who have recently retired (~5 years). Recognising your retirement aspirations is an important initial move, yet it is even more essential to determine if you possess the resources to achieve your retirement plans.

In this workshop, we will delve into the four essential topics:

  • Pre-retirement: gaining insight into your savings and the necessary last-minute strategies.
  • At-retirement: exploring the various choices that come with retirement, along with the latest regulations.
  • Investing during retirement: understanding how investment strategies shift from those before retirement.
  • After retirement: examining the evolving rules around pension death benefits and grasping the concept of sustained financial well-being in the long term.

Participating in this event offers you tailored advice, engaging educational experiences, and in-depth explanations of intricate subjects. Given the complexities involved in retirement planning, attending in-person allows for direct enquiries and on-the-spot answers from passionate financial advisors. Altogether, these elements greatly improve your retirement preparation, equipping you with a solid foundation for this upcoming phase of your life.

Testimonials

Retirement Planning Workshop (Leeds) delegates, May 2025

"A really interesting workshop – I wasn’t sure how it could last so long and whether it was going to be pitched at audit partners or wealthy businessmen. Actually it was completely accessible and very relevant to more modest pension funds. The speakers were very well informed, engaging and passionate about their subject. There was no hard sell involved and plenty of tips for those who would not choose to engage a financial planner or might want to use a different service provider."

"This was a really good event, very informative and really helped to understand the complexities around the various types of pensions and choices to consider. Helpful that it was a small audience and informal so that we could ask questions."

"It was very practical with points to check and follow up."
