Event information

Join us for an ICAEW fireside chat and networking evening hosted at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), where senior leaders from law, regulation, and global finance will explore how AI is reshaping influence, judgement, and strategic leadership.

This 45-minute session brings together panellists from KPMG, Slaughter and May, Protiviti, HKMA, and the ICAEW International Office. Through candid conversation and practical insight, you’ll hear how senior professionals are responding to rising expectations in high-trust roles—where credibility, ethics, and clarity now matter more than ever.

Following the discussion, stay for a networking reception with drinks and light refreshments.

What we’ll cover:

This fireside chat will unpack what it now takes to lead—beyond technical delivery—in an environment transformed by AI and global uncertainty.

  • Strategic credibility in the age of automation: how leaders shift from technical delivery to high-trust decision-making and influence.
  • What boards, C-suites, and regulators now expect: perspectives on risk, ethics, and leadership in a world shaped by generative AI.
  • Practical realities inside corporates, professional firms and policy bodies: what AI looks like in day-to-day work—what’s changing and what remains essential.
  • Signals to watch over the next 12–18 months: from automation to AI governance, what forward-looking professionals should focus on now
