Event information

Responsible AI adoption is a major challenge for organisations looking to embed AI within their business processes. It is particularly challenging for those in governance, risk management, compliance and oversight roles, who need to understand how their organisations are not only seizing the opportunities presented by AI, but managing the risks of AI.

ISO/IEC 42001 published in December 2023 is the world’s first AI management system standard, designed to guide organisations by providing a structured way to address AI’s unique challenges, including ethical considerations, transparency, and adaptability, allowing them to balance innovation with governance.

International Standards are seen by many as a way to help manage risks and bring consistency and commonality to a fragmented and immature regulatory environment, thereby allowing organisations to scale their AI development and implementation across jurisdictions.

Key benefits

  • Get an understanding of the key elements of ISO/IEC 42001, including its benefits, limitations.
  • Understand how the standard can help boards, audit commitees and other oversight groups in overseeing the management of AI risks within their organisations.
  • Gain practical insight and tips on implementation of the standard.
