Event information

Whether you’re considering starting a portfolio or fractional career, or monetising your side hustle, starting your own business can provide financial independence, flexibility, excitement and fulfilment. But if it was easy everyone would do it, right?

In this webinar hosted by the Portfolio Careers and Career Breakers communities, we will explore the steps to take and help you build confidence to launch your independent career.

Our speakers will explain how adopting a growth mindset can transform your entrepreneurial journey, helping you overcome self-doubt, stay focused through challenges, and scale your business with confidence.

You’ll get a refresher on setting up as a sole trader or company as we cover the admin: naming, incorporation, VAT registrations, bank accounts, insurance and more. This will be a very practical session for accountants and finance professionals who are looking for inspiration and need signposting. Learn from ICAEW members who have already started a business and come away motivated to take the plunge and with a to-do checklist to tick off.

Our speakers for this webinar are Karen Lewchenko FCA and Dani Wainwright FCA. Karen is a Big 4 trained accountant who works in audit and has built her own business as a certified wellbeing consultant and coach. Dani has a successful portfolio FD business after a career in large corporates and is a passionate advocate of this way of working for accountants.
