Event information

Dynamic arrays have introduced entirely new ways of working in Excel. This webinar will cover a practical introduction to dynamic arrays, exploring how using this capability can make spreadsheets more flexible, scalable, and efficient when it comes to financial modelling.

Our experts Ruth Butler-Lee, Head of Financial Modelling at Arriva UK Trains Ltd, John Yeldham, Financial Modeller at JogEye, and Ben Ducker, Principal Consultant at Modelling Expert Ltd will also explore the limitations of using traditional Excel formulas in modelling scenarios, such as inconsistencies across ranges, bloated file sizes, and the reliance on manual changes, and how dynamic arrays address these challenges.

Through practical demos, they will showcase how dynamic arrays can simplify and enhance common tasks including:

  • Eliminating helper columns with functions like UNIQUE
  • Creating dynamic ranges for expanding selections
  • Improving formula consistency across large datasets

This webinar is open to all but is ideal for those with good Excel knowledge seeking a clearer understanding of how to use dynamic arrays to solve common problems faced when using formulas in Excel.

Key benefits

  • Learn how to use dynamic arrays and how they can improve formula consistency and file performance.
  • Explore real-life use cases, and how dynamic arrays can help solve common problems faced by users in Excel.
  • Discover how dynamic arrays can simplify use of Excel in financial modelling, reducing the need for manual adjustments and risk of errors.
