About the speakers

Victoria Andrew, Principal, Millcove Solutions
Since November 2016, Vicky has worked as a consultant/adviser, writer and speaker advising micro-businesses and smaller accountancy practices.

Vicky qualified with Coopers & Lybrand (as it was then) at the end of 1988, then spent a few years working for small and medium sized accountancy practices in London and Kent before setting up her own practice in 1994. She grew and ran the practice successfully for 22 years before merging it with a larger practice in Bromley.

Her main areas of focus are micro-businesses and small accountancy practices, however, she is mindful that she represents all ICAEW members in the London area.

Richard Flynn, Senior Associate, Capital & Trust
Richard is an ACA-qualified accountant who played a pivotal role in establishing the Irish sector as well as operating in the UK. With a specialised background and extensive technical expertise, he offers unmatched proficiency in his field.

Sam Motia, Managing Director, Capital & Trust
Sam’s expertise lies in helping accountancy firm partners navigate the often complex process of aligning multiple agendas — whether some partners are seeking retirement, others wish to pursue growth, or timelines differ entirely. He structures transactions that not only address these differences but also position the business for long-term success in an evolving market.

Edward Partridge, Head of UK Affinity, Marsh
Edward is a seasoned insurance professional with over 23 years of experience in the industry. As Head of UK Affinity for Marsh, Edward’s passion is working closely with partners to understand the unique needs of their members. His focus on building strong relationships combined with his extensive experience and sector focus, make him a trusted adviser for both affinity groups and SMEs. Above all, Edward is dedicated to delivering member benefit and mutual growth through an honest and collaborative approach.

Simone Taylor-Allkins, Technical Advisory Services Manager
Simone started her career in audit and management accountancy, qualifying in a mid-tier firm, before moving to a larger firm post qualification. She soon discovered her passion for training accountancy and has enjoyed sharing her knowledge over the years with people within industry, practice and students studying for their ACCA and CIMA qualifications.

James de le Vingne, Chief Executive, Employee Ownership Association
James de le Vingne is Chief Executive of the Employee Ownership Association (eoa)
representing the UK’s employee-owned sector and championing business models that give employees a meaningful stake and voice at work. He leads the eoa’s mission to drive people-powered growth — building more inclusive, productive, and resilient businesses across the economy.

James has worked at the intersection of business, policy, and social impact throughout his career. Before joining the eoa, he was Head of Development at Co-operatives UK, leading initiatives to grow the co-operative and mutual economy. He has also worked internationally and locally in economic development and enterprise support, helping to design initiatives that strengthen communities and expand ownership and opportunity.

He is a member of the Governments Mutuals Council, Director of the Ownership at Work thinktank and an Executive Fellow at Rutgers University’s Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing.

Ian Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer, Perspective Financial Group
Ian is responsible for all aspects of the operation and performance of the Group with its growing national network. Ian was appointed to the main Board in 2013. Prior to this, he became Group Practice Director and a member of the Operational Board in 2010. Under Ian’s leadership, Perspective continues to grow, with the goal of becoming the leading provider of financial planning and wealth management services in the UK.

Kat Hearn, Senior Technical Manager in Practice, ICAEW
