Event information

Trading internationally in times of weaker domestic demand and uncertainty offers UK manufacturing companies a strategic way to broaden their customer base, diversify revenue streams, mitigate exposure to local economic fluctuations, and tap into regions with stronger growth potential. It may sound good, but if it was that easy everyone would be doing it. Book our latest webinar on exporting to hear from others and be inspired to grow your business.

Joining the panel for this webinar is Mark Burkett, from the Department of Business and Trade who will outline the support and financial help on offer to UK businesses. Then we will hear from ICAEW members who will share with you their own experiences of exporting, the successes and some of the pitfalls along the way.

You’ll hear from Keith Tudor, Managing Director at Oaklands Plastics, a Birmingham based manufacturer specialising in sustainable plastics products for construction, traffic management and events. Joining the panel is Gino Zabeo, ICAEW Council member for Global Trade and Senior Director at Vistra, who advises clients on global expansion opportunities.

Our speakers will share their practical insights on:
• Help and support available for exporters.
• Identifying markets and countries that are easier to trade with.
• Attending international trade fairs.
• Finding and working with agents and distributors.
• Direct to customer routes.
• Customs and Incoterms.
• The realities of shipping goods to Europe.

We welcome questions from the audience in advance or on the day.

Key benefits

• Gain insights from ICAEW members in businesses.
• Hear from experienced speakers and pose your own questions.
• Be inspired to take the leap into new markets.
