Event information

We’ll explore the experience needed to make the leap into portfolio working, the types of clients who seek fractional FDs, and the expertise they value most. You’ll get a glimpse into what a typical day or week looks like and hear perspectives on specialising in one sector versus working across multiple industries.

Our ICAEW panellists will share their motivations for launching a portfolio career, how they got started, and how they’ve built their client base and sector knowledge. The session focuses on fractional and portfolio finance roles within the SME sector.

Key benefits

  • Discover the range of opportunities available for part-time FDs and where the demand is heading.
  • Gain practical insights from ICAEW members who’ve successfully made the transition.
  • Learn more about sector specialisms and transferable skills.
