Event information

With the upcoming increase to the accruals accounts threshold from £250,000 to £500,000, and the new Charities SORP introducing more complex lease accounting, many small charities are reconsidering whether accruals-based accounts remain the most suitable option for them.

This webinar, presented by charity experts from Azets, is designed for accountants working with UK charities and will provide a clear, practical overview of Receipts & Payments (R&P) accounts — who can use them, when they are appropriate, and how to prepare them to a high standard.

We’ll explore the advantages and limitations of R&P accounts, key considerations for trustees, and the steps and disclosures involved in transitioning to R&P from accruals-based accounts.

The session outlines what must be included in R&P accounts, what constitutes best practice, including for the Trustees’ Annual Report accompanying R&P accounts.

Key benefits

  • Learn whether R&P accounts are the best option for your charity.
  • Gain clarity over eligibility, pros and cons.
  • Find out how to transition from accruals accounts to R&P accounts.
  • Hear what R&P accounts must include and what’s best practice.
