Event Information

Topic | Future of funding: Navigating a shifting lending and investment landscape

This dedicated insight group explores the evolving landscape of construction and real estate, providing a vital forum to reflect on recent sector impacts, examine the current investment climate, and discuss emerging industry trends. Ideal for both practitioners and industry professionals, these meetings offer a unique opportunity to gain valuable market intelligence, share peer-to-peer insights, and strengthen professional networks within the local business community.

With previous concerns regarding subdued demand and constrained capital, this session is essential for businesses looking to secure financing. We provide a forward-looking analysis of how firms can navigate and thrive within an evolving economic environment.

Key discussion points

This session offers a necessary look ahead, reflecting on the long-term impacts of the Autumn Budget and forecasting the market landscape through 2027.

  • Alternative funding sources | A deep dive into capital beyond traditional bank lending. We will explore private equity, mezzanine finance, and the rising prominence of Green Bonds and specialised funds.

  • Lender criteria in 2026 | Regional insights into the shifting metrics lenders use to assess risk. This includes a specific focus on "Flight to Quality"—how ESG credentials and asset resilience now directly impact your Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios and interest rates.

  • Investment trends and asset selection | An in-depth discussion on the transition from new builds to high-value refurbishments. We will analyse the current investor appetite for specialised sectors, such as Data Centres, logistics hubs, and ESG-compliant "Value-Add" projects.

These sessions are open to both practice and industry members, including:

  • Professionals working in construction or real estate businesses.
  • Those advising these businesses.
  • Senior leaders at the Partner/Director level in practice.
  • Members aiming to expand their professional network and offer insights on rapidly evolving sectors.

Key highlights:

  • Gaining valuable local market intelligence | Understand the regional economic factors impacting your organisation.
  • Sharing best practices | Engage in insightful discussions on industry trends, challenges, and solutions with like-minded peers.
  • Expanding your network | Build valuable connections with fellow local members.
  • Staying informed | Access discussions on the latest accounting regulations and best practices tailored to the construction and real estate sectors.
  • Professional growth | Benefit from shared experiences and expertise to enhance your knowledge and skill set.
