Event Information

Women-led Finance insight group is a dedicated, supportive space for ICAEW members across Scotland to connect, collaborate, and grow. We bring together female professionals working in accountancy and finance-related roles—spanning all industries, disciplines, and career stages.

This group is designed to be a platform for open learning and peer-to-peer support, where members can share their unique experiences and forge meaningful business relationships.

Speaker

Rosemary Scott

Rosemary is a qualified and ICF accredited executive, leadership and career coach. She is an experienced senior manager whose career covers a range of industries in blue chip organisations: Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies; RBS/NatWest Group. In RBS/NatWest she led the HR M&A strategy and team, working with executive committee leaders in one of the biggest corporate turnarounds in history. As a career coach she has worked with clients at all levels and roles helping them to find their path. She has coached emerging leaders on next-generation talent programmes as well as helping clients become better leaders and role models for their team. With a deep belief in the difference coaching can make, Rosemary’s expertise is in renewing confidence, coaching clients at a time of challenge, transition or managing through change helping them to navigate decision making with purpose and achieve results.

Katerina Brown

As CEO at Historic Environment Scotland Katerina brings a wealth of experience in strategic development, business transformation and team leadership from the national and international world of commerce. She leads sustainable change and builds financial resilience to navigate the many challenges we face today. She loves spending time with family exploring the wonders that Scotland has to offer. 

Heather Darling

Deputy Director Finance Business Partner Unit at The Scottish Government

Pauline Davidson

Pauline is a VAT specialist with over 18 years’ experience gained in practice and running her own business.

Pauline’s experience covers providing VAT advice across many subject areas and sectors including complex multi-national organisations; private and public companies; real estate; public sector; not for profit; and financial services.

Before finding her niche in VAT, Pauline worked in various finance roles and ran her own hotel.

Irina Hughes

Irina specialises in financial reporting advisory having worked in practice for over 20 years. She took her first university degree as evening classes whilst working full-time, now leading an advisory team at Johnston Carmichael and being a member of ICAEW and Moore technical groups. In between all that, she loves to travel and play with her two pups Brucey and Teddy.

Helen Mullin

Helen Mullin is a business consultant specialising in governance, risk management and board effectiveness, trading as Carnethy Consulting. She previously worked as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and more recently as head of risk at Aegon Asset Management. She is a member of the ICAEW Scottish Network Board, a member of the Appointment Committee of the Financial Reporting Council, and a Trustee of Empty Kitchens Full Hearts SCIO.
