Implementing generative AI for data-driven insights

Gen AI promises opportunities for organisations to streamline their workflows and gather more insights from their data. But as these tools and technologies become more accessible, what does the real development and implementation journey look like, and what should you consider along the way?

In this webinar, Craig Stirk, founder of Sarcul Consulting and Chief Innovation Officer at Sprift, will share his organisation’s journey in designing and implementing a personalised Gen AI tool with enhanced analytic capabilities powered by ChatGPT.

The session will begin with a live demo of the tool, providing attendees with a firsthand look at how the solution works in practice. Craig will then walk through the journey of defining the initial objectives, building a proof‑of‑concept, and tailoring the AI model for organisational needs. Attendees will also learn about the importance of constructing and refining the semantic layer and approaches to integrating the tool with internal data sources and structures.

In the second half of the webinar, Craig will reflect on key lessons learned throughout the process, highlighting what worked, what didn’t, and what he would approach differently. The session will also include an open Q&A, giving attendees the chance to explore their concerns with implementing Gen AI solutions within their own organisations.

About the speakers

Craig Stirk, Chief Innovation Officer, Sprift A chartered accountant by training and now Chief Innovation Officer by inclination. Craig enjoys nothing more, at work, than finding new value in data and using it to deliver benefits for individuals, organisations and society. He has worked with data at scale and high security levels in four continents in sectors such as finance, utilities, consulting and defence.

Ian Pay, Head of Data Analytics & Tech, ICAEW Prior to joining ICAEW in March 2022, Ian worked for over 10 years at PwC in Data Analytics, specialising in External Audit and Data Acquisition and developing robust and automated ETL processes to support the firm’s award-winning Halo suite of applications. Ian also played an active role in the development and delivery of training courses, with digital upskilling being an area he is particularly passionate about. He has previously trained as a secondary school teacher and a musician.

CPD hours
