Event Information

In an era of rapid economic shifts and digital transformation, the role of the CFO has never been more pivotal—or more complex. Success today requires more than just financial oversight; it demands strategic foresight and a network of peers who understand the unique pressures of the C-suite.

As organisations continue to navigate technological change, evolving stakeholder expectations and increasing demands for insight, finance functions are playing a more strategic role than ever before. This roundtable will feature a practical Finance for the Future case study, providing an opportunity to explore how finance leaders are driving transformation and preparing for the future.

This roundtable presents an exclusive opportunity to dive into some of the themes and topics that are shaping finance leadership today. Designed as an interactive session, it offers the chance to share perspectives, exchange ideas, and gain practical insights in a collaborative setting.

Who should attend?

This group is ideally suited for:

  • Senior finance leadership | Finance Directors or Chief Finance Officers within large UK and multi-national organisations, across all commercial sectors.
  • SME leaders | Senior finance professionals with FD-level responsibility in small and medium-sized UK businesses, spanning all commercial sectors.
  • Transitioning professionals | Senior finance professionals below the main board or C-suite level transitioning into their first Finance Director or Chief Finance Officer role.
  • Aspiring FD and CFO's | Finance professionals who are actively working toward a Finance Director or Chief Finance Officer role.

Why should I attend?

  • Confidential peer support | All sessions are confidential, offering participants the opportunity for open discussion, seeking advice on common issues, and posing questions to like-minded professionals at a senior level.
  • Professional growth | Strengthen professional networks, build new business relationships, seek insights from peers, and refine commercial and technical skills to enhance capabilities as an evolving finance professional.
  • Trusted network | Benefit from having a trusted network of similar professionals for advice, guidance, and peer-to-peer support, particularly valuable for those who are the sole senior finance professional in their business.
  • Open discussion | Meetings are facilitated, encouraging all participants to actively contribute to open, lively, and insightful discussions, drawing on diverse industry experiences from across Scotland.

Previous topics include:

  • Navigating Employment Rights Bill
  • Navigating AI and productivity
  • IT Function risk and security
  • Board intelligence
  • Delivering net zero from existing building stock
  • Funding and sources of capital
  • Challenges and shared headwinds
