Join Nichola Ross Martin, CIOT President 2025-2026, the ICAEW Tax Faculty and other guest speakers for this webinar.

In this session we will cover how to prepare for the 2025/26 self assessment tax return season, alongside key updates for agents including mandatory registration, sanctionable conduct, and the roll-out of multi-factor authentication, with a brief update of Making Tax Digital (MTD) for income tax.

While our speakers are not able to give specific tax advice, this is also an opportunity to ask our subject specialists your questions regarding tax processes and policies.

About the speakers

Nichola Ross Martin, Tax Consultant, 20:20 Innovation and CIOT President 2025-2026
Nichola is a specialist in owner-managed business taxes, company reorganisations and employee share schemes. She has been solving tax problems and creating innovative online tax-tools for accountants and their clients for many years. She is involved in a variety of different committees in respect of projects with HMRC and is a serving trustee of the CIOT.

Stephen Relf, Technical Manager, Tax, ICAEW
Stephen is responsible for the Faculty’s news service, including the weekly TAXwire newsletter, the monthly TAXline bulletin and The Tax Track podcast. Before joining ICAEW in January 2024, Stephen helped lead Croner-i’s team of writers in creating and updating a wide range of tax content. And before that he was head of the technical team at the Chartered Institute of Tax; worked in industry, for Northern Rock; and in practice, for PwC.

Lindsey Wicks, Senior Technical Manager, Tax Policy, ICAEW
Lindsey joined the ICAEW’s Tax Faculty team in 2019 – initially as its technical editor before progressing into a tax policy role. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2000, Lindsey decided to specialise in tax and spent over 12 years working in Grant Thornton’s National Tax team.
