Event information

What does Christianity have to do with accounting? In this session, Professor Ann Gillian Chu, PhD (St Andrews), FCA, FCCA, FCPA, draws on over a decade of professional accounting experience in Hong Kong and Canada together with her academic research in Christian ethics. Professor Ann Gillian Chu will introduce key frameworks in theological ethics and discuss how these perspectives can support accountants in Hong Kong as they navigate professional responsibilities, ethical judgement and the wider moral dimensions of their work.

Professor Ann Gillian Chu will also reflect on her experiences as a Hong Kong accountant and outline how different strands of Christian ethical thinking may help practitioners assess obligations, develop character and understand their role within the profession.
