Event information

Artificial intelligence has continued to evolve at extraordinary speed since our last highly-attended webinar. What was once emerging technology is now embedded in day to day forensic work, influencing everything from evidence review and fraud detection to expert reporting and courtroom expectations. As tools mature and regulation tightens, forensic accountants and expert witnesses must stay ahead of both the opportunities and the risks.

This follow up webinar brings together specialists to examine how AI’s role in forensic accounting has shifted over the past year, what has stabilised, what has accelerated, and what new challenges are now shaping expert practice.

This webinar will explore:

  • Developments in AI capability and adoption.
  • How the hype cycle has evolved: which tools have proven genuinely transformative, and which have plateaued.
  • The growing divide between general purpose AI and specialist forensic applications.
  • New use cases emerging from real investigations, including document clustering, anomaly detection and automated modelling.
  • AI in the expert witness environment: how courts, tribunals and instructing solicitors are responding to AI assisted analysis.
  • Shifts in fraud typologies driven by AI enabled tools, including synthetic identities, deepfake evidence and automated social engineering attacks.
  • Updated guidance on bias, data privacy and responsible use of AI in forensic work.
  • Lessons learned from early adopters on when off the shelf tools are sufficient and when bespoke solutions add real value.
  • Practical considerations for integrating AI into existing workflows without compromising independence or objectivity.

Key benefits

  • Stay current with the latest developments in AI that directly affect forensic accounting and expert evidence.
  • Strengthen your professional judgement by understanding where AI adds value and where human expertise remains irreplaceable.
  • Protect your credibility by learning how courts and regulators expect experts to use, explain and challenge AI-assisted work.
  • Enhance your investigative toolkit with insight into new fraud patterns and digital evidence challenges.
  • Prepare for the future as AI becomes increasingly embedded in forensic methodologies and client expectations.
