Event information

The 2026 HKICPA Sustainability Forum builds on the success of its inaugural launch in 2025, reflecting the growing demand for deeper engagement and dialogue on sustainability developments within the market. As fellow members of the Global Accounting Alliance (GAA), HKICPA, ICAEW, CA ANZ and AICPA-CIMA are co-hosting this year's Forum with the support of the GAA, bringing together international expertise to address shared sustainability challenges.

With increasing expectations in the capital markets for consistent, comparable, and decision-useful sustainability disclosures, Hong Kong is strengthening its reporting framework through the adoption of HKFRS S1 and S2, alongside the introduction of a mandatory sustainability assurance regime.

In response, the Forum will adopt a technical and practitioner-oriented focus, bringing together regulators, preparers and advisors to exchange insights on sustainability reporting and assurance from standard-setting, practical application and value creation perspectives.
