Often, the biggest barriers aren't external. They're the doubts, assumptions, fears and limiting beliefs that quietly influence our decisions, keep us in our comfort zones, and prevent us from fully recognising our value and potential.

This taster session invites you to challenge yourself to think differently. Through guided reflection and practical exercises, you'll explore what may be stopping you from taking the next step.

Whether you're navigating a transition, considering your next move, or simply seeking greater fulfilment in your current role, this session will help you identify what is holding you back and inspire you to take meaningful action towards the future you want.

About the speakers

Ruth Morris, Senior Executive Coach, Rema Consulting  Ruth is a highly experienced Senior Executive coach who specialises in helping clients make the best of their talents in areas such as personal brand, impact and influence, career progression, resilience, confidence and self-belief She has been running her own executive coaching and leadership development business since 2005. Her passion is people and her focus is challenging clients to be the best they can be, encouraging them to think, "big and bold". Ruth works in a wide range of sectors including - finance, law, environmental, public government agencies and not for profit.

Marcia Dyce, Inclusion and Career Stage Manager, ICAEW Marcia is a Communities Manager at ICAEW, looking after Diversity and Inclusion, Women in Finance, Young Members, Career Breakers and was instrumental in the setup of the Black Members Community. She organises frequent networking events, webinars and workshops for the Communities and facilitates on panel discussions with numerous topics across the business.

CPD hours

ICAEW's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations require a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement. Attending this event could contribute up to 1hr of verifiable CPD, providing you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.
