Drawing on insights from recent on-site reviews, we’ll highlight the top eight areas small firms should focus on to strengthen compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations.

We’ll also cover the latest on supervisory reform, regulatory and guidance changes, and our popular AML MythBusters session, separating fact from fiction and helping firms identify where firms may be doing more than is required.

About the speakers

Sandy Price, AML Manager, ICAEW Sandy trained with Ernst & Young and qualified as a chartered accountant. She’s held operational roles in industry, including at the BBC, and spent time as a sole practitioner, gaining insight into the challenges faced by smaller firms. After 14 years as a QAD reviewer, she now works in ICAEW’s AML supervisory team, focusing on both compliance monitoring and supporting member firms with guidance.

Session chair: Roz Harrington, Senior Practice Manager, ICAEW An experienced engagement strategist and programme manager, Roz works to help practitioners succeed by providing them with access to skills, knowledge and tools to service their clients across the business and wider community. Before joining ICAEW, Roz worked for a healthcare charity overseeing central operations for 35 hospitals across the UK.

CPD hours

ICAEW's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations require a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement. Attending this event could contribute up to 1hr of verifiable CPD, providing you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.
