Back in Belfast after a successful 2025 launch, ICAEW’s Restructuring & Insolvency Roadshow returns on 24 September. Stay up to date with current legal, regulatory and practical developments whilst gaining valuable CPD, and network with the insolvency monitoring team and fellow professionals.

CPD hours

ICAEW's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations require a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement. Attending this event could contribute up to 3hrs 30mins of verifiable CPD, providing you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.

Justine Carruthers, Head of Insolvency Investigations in the ICAEW Conduct Department on handling complaints.

A legal update, presented by Sam Corbett of A&L Goodbody Northern Ireland LLP.

 

About the speakers

Event chair: Victoria Alexandrou, Insolvency Manager, ICAEW
Victoria has over 20 years’ insolvency experience. She has worked in firms ranging from a sole practitioner to one of the Big 4 and completed JIEB in 2011. She joined ICAEW’s QAD department in 2016 as a reviewer, completing both insolvency and practice assurance visits, before being promoted to manager in 2024. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys running, watching motor sports, especially WRC, and is a avid reader.

Allison Broad, Head of Insolvency Monitoring, ICAEW
Allison Broad is ICAEW’s Head of Insolvency Monitoring and is responsible for QAD’s insolvency monitoring team. She is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and regularly speaks about insolvency-related matters.

 

Justine Carruthers, Head of Insolvency Investigations, ICAEW

Sam Corbett, Partner, A&L Goodbody, Northern Ireland
Sam is a partner in A&L Goodbody's Restructuring & Insolvency group in Belfast. He specialises in all aspects of business recovery and insolvency related matters and has extensive experience acting for local and national banks, financial institutions, funds, creditors and insolvency practitioners. Sam has acted on a number of high profile corporate restructurings in Northern Ireland in recent years. Sam is also an adept litigator and specialises in advising financial institutions and banks on financial services and insolvency related litigation. Sam actively prosecutes and defends many litigation cases at the Commercial Court and Chancery Court in Northern Ireland

Katie Dixon, Reviewer, ICAEW
Katie is an ICAEW licenced insolvency practitioner and a certified probate practitioner. She started her career in insolvency at 16 after finishing her GCSEs. She qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2017 at which stage he obtained her insolvency licence. She left insolvency practice in 2021 to join ICAEW as a QAD reviewer. As part of her role, she carries out Insolvency, Probate, DPB and Practice Assurance reviews.
