Event information

"The most adaptation - everything we practise on the court - happens during sleep, especially deep sleep. The better you can sleep, the better you are going to perform. No matter how hard you train, if you are under-recovered all the time, it is not going to help you." Those are the words of Anton Dubrov, coach to tennis world number one Aryna Sabalenka.

When we consider what high-performing athletes need, we take it as given that they must be fit and healthy; that sleep, nutrition and exercise are not optional extras but the foundation everything else is built on. But what about high-performing teams and leaders? We talk about agility, teamwork, adaptability and increasingly resilience, but fitness? Rarely.

Sarah Reynolds will make the case that the core elements of self-care; sleep, exercise and nutrition are every bit as critical for high performance in the boardroom as they are for Aryna Sabalenka, Harry Kane, Megan Jones or Lucy Charles-Barclay. The question is: why do we so readily accept this for athletes, and so consistently ignore it for leaders?

Key benefits

  • Understand the importance of the three core elements of self care - sleep, exercise and nutrition.
  • Discover why these core elements are vital for high performing teams and leaders.
  • Practical strategies to enhance your wellbeing, resilience and effectiveness at work.
