Event information

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how organisations process, analyse and review information. For audit firms and internal audit teams operating under increasing time pressures, AI offers opportunities to improve efficiency, support review processes and enhance audit workflows.

This practical session explores how AI can be applied across audit and assurance activities, including planning, risk assessment, evidence review and workpaper preparation. Participants will learn how AI can help transform unstructured information into audit‑ready outputs, automate repetitive tasks and support audit processes.

Led by Mr Rajendra Shroff, Director and Head of Applied AI Research at Blu Artificial Intelligence, the session will examine practical applications of AI in audit environments and discuss approaches to maintaining quality, trust and professional judgement in AI‑assisted work.

Rajendra Shroff, Director, Head of Applied AI Research, Blu Ltd

Rajendra (Raj) Shroff is the Director of Applied AI Research at Blu Artificial Intelligence, a consulting firm specialising in AI strategy, projects, and executive education. With an extensive background in both industry and academia, Raj is a leading expert in applied AI.

Raj is a lecturer at several institutions, including the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and the Asian Institute of Technology, teaching accredited university courses: "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence," "Big Data in Finance," and "Digital Economy and Innovation."

Raj is a sought-after speaker at events and conferences across Asia and North America. His notable engagements include the Generative AI & Finance Conference in Washington DC, seminars at Columbia University, and the Hong Kong University (HKU). He also contributes to Radio Television Hong Kong’s programme ‘Tech Tuesday’.

Raj holds a BSc in Management from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Hong Kong.
