WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
Since the ISQM quality management standards took effect in the UK in December 2022, audit firms are required to apply root cause analysis (RCA) to improve audit quality. RCA enables organisations to identify the underlying causes of findings — preventing recurrence of negative outcomes and reinforcing positive ones.

This one-day course has been developed specifically with audit, accounting, and financial professionals in mind. It blends theoretical insights with practical tools you can apply immediately, guided by an experienced facilitator with real-world RCA expertise. The interactive format ensures you leave with both the knowledge and the confidence to support RCA activity in your organisation - equipping you to solve tough and recurring problems more effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Define problems accurately and improve problem-solving skills.
• Apply critical thinking techniques to real-world scenarios.
• Use collaborative approaches to tackle complex issues.
• Build scalable visual analysis using methods such as 5 Whys and Cause & Effect.
• Translate analysis into practical solutions and clear reporting.
