About the speakers

Neil Cutting FCA, Transformation Director, Oracle Corporation Inc.
Qualifying with PWC, he moved into global finance leadership roles with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Mars and Jacobs Solutions Incorporated. Neil spent 17 years at Jacobs (a Fortune 250 company), where he was VP of Finance. His experience included Divisional CFO, International Accounting Director and Transformation Director. Neil has consistently been drawn towards helping fix business problems which require transformation. This started at PWC in Corporate Recovery, turning around loss making operations at HPE and at Jacobs, fixing failed acquisitions, driving finance function global re-organisations. These experiences enabled Neil to be seconded to the Ministry of Defence to lead the finance transformation programme.

In addition to his international career, Neil has been an active volunteer for ICAEW, including being a member and President of the West of England Board, Chair of the Aerospace & Defence CFO Forum, a member of the Business Committee and in 2023, was elected to ICAEW Council. Neil is passionate about helping business leaders understand simple methodologies for delivering complex transformation programmes, resulting in a series of successful articles for ICAEW and the “Cutting through Boardroom Challenges” series on Accounting Web. He also guest lectures on strategic performance at the University of Bath, one of the top business schools in the UK.

Asma Mohammed FCA, Transformation Director, Levy UK & Ireland
Asma currently works as a Transformation Director having acquired extensive experience across both Practice and Industry in the areas of Transformation, Strategy and Finance. Starting her career at PwC she qualified as a Chartered accountant whilst working predominantly in Corporate Recovery. There, she built both theoretical and practical knowledge from advising a diverse range of stakeholders and managing companies through insolvencies and operational change.

Following her initial experience in Practice, Asma expanded her expertise through various roles encompassing Business Partnering, Strategy, and Transformation. During her tenure at JLR, she played a pivotal role in refining the approach to supplier risk, establishing the company's long-term vision for value creation, overseeing a £1.8 billion project with a strategic partner, and spearheading a crucial transformation programme resulting in cost reductions of £100 million.

Asma has continued to work to deliver Financial and Operational change in both Financial Servicing and now Hospitality. Her passion is rooted in catalysing transformational change through data-driven methodologies that align with businesses’ strategic vision and priorities.

Helen Osagie FCA, Finance Director, The CIPD, The Professional Body for HR and People Development
Helen’s finance career spans over 20 years, during which team she has led finance teams and strategy for global tech companies, media agencies and private equity-backed scale-ups, successfully growing businesses in the UK, Europe, US and Africa during periods of significant change. Helen’s approach to financial growth has always been people-centred. She is currently the Finance Director for the Chartered Institute of Professional Development.

 

Caroline Wigham, Business Engagement Manager, ICAEW
Caroline supports our ICAEW members in business through events, webinars and various initiatives, whilst also building engagement and ensuring their views are represented. She also delivers the content and events programme for the Small and Micro Business Community, driving growth and increasing engagement. Previously, Caroline managed the delivery and development of the ICAEW life stages communities.
