About the speakers

Neil Cutting FCA, Transformation Director, Oracle Corporation Inc.
Neil is a finance transformation expert with global leadership experience at PwC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Mars, and Jacobs Solutions Inc. At Jacobs, a Fortune 250 company, he spent 17 years in senior roles including VP of Finance, Divisional CFO, and Transformation Director. Neil specialises in solving complex business challenges, from turning around loss-making operations to leading global finance reorganisations and fixing failed acquisitions.

Homiyar Wykes, Director of Finance, Simpson Spence Young LLP
Homiyar is a senior finance executive with over 30 years of experience in finance transformation, controllership, and corporate restructuring across global organisations. He currently serves as Director of Finance at Simpson Spence Young, one of the world’s largest ship brokers, where he is building the Group Finance function, integrating acquisitions and driving change in the finance function. His career spans a debt restructuring at ED&F Man, a large-scale Oracle and Hyperion implementation and setting up a shared service centre in Manila at Stolt-Nielsen, and finance transformation at EXA Infrastructure, a PE-backed business.

Mark Lawton, Chief Finance Officer, Babcock - Nuclear Sector
Mark is a Fellow of ICAEW and trained with KPMG before moving into industry. He has over 20 years’ experience as a divisional CFO with FirstGroup and Babcock, and has led transformation across each of his roles, consistently improving financial performance. His experience includes large-scale systems change, organisational redesign and strengthening commercial discipline, with a focus on improving performance in complex, highly regulated environments.

Session chair: Caroline Wigham, Business Engagement Manager, ICAEW
Caroline joined the business team in 2022, where she engages with and supports the needs of our ICAEW members in business through events and webinars, content and various initiatives. She also develops and delivers the content and events programme for the Small and Micro Business Community. Caroline previously worked for the ICAEW Business and Management Faculty until 2021 then moved roles to manage the Life Stages Communities including Black Members, Career Breakers, Diversity and Inclusion, Women in Finance and Younger Members.
